Migrant Ministry

The first 60 migrant farmworkers have arrived in King Ferry - all adults:  Haitian and African-American mostly.  Used items currently requested include flannel sheets, blankets, bedspreads, and comforters.   Volunteers encouraged to assist on Sunday, July 29, All Saints Parish Welcome Breakfast for farmworkers at parish center in Lansing (an annual event) and Pokeno games every other night at the camp with food prizes for winners. Mid-summer breakfast will be offered by Sacred Heart Parish in Auburn Sunday, September 9th. May need volunteers for ESL classes as well.  Questions and availability to Deb Patrick.
